Richard Belden is a seasoned civil engineer with extensive experience in highway project management and design across various states in the U.S. Currently serving as Practice Area Leader at Otak since March 2024, Richard previously held the position of Sr. Highway Engineer at Kiewit, managing design-build highway projects. Richard's career includes roles as Project Manager at BKL, Inc. Architects & Engineers with a focus on Oklahoma Department of Transportation projects, and as Senior Project Manager at Jacobs Engineering, where project coordination and team guidance were key responsibilities. With foundations as a Project Manager at MacArthur Associated Consultants and a Project Engineer at Dewberry Design Group, Richard gained proficiency in all aspects of highway design, beginning with experience as an Engineering Assistant in the United States Air Force. Richard holds a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of Oklahoma.
