Dan de Burca has worked in the field of data science since 2006. From 2006 to 2011, they worked at the National University of Ireland, Galway, first as a Post Doctoral Research Assistant, then as a PhD student, and finally as a Laboratory Supervisor. From 2011 to 2015, they worked at OBS Medical Ltd as a Data Scientist, where they provided expertise in applying machine learning methods to analyse and model patient data. From 2015 to 2017, they worked at ONI (Oxford Nanoimaging) as a Data Scientist. Since 2020, they have been working at Osler Diagnostics as a Data Scientist, where they provide technical data science leadership to interdisciplinary teams with the aim of driving up statistical rigour.
Dan de Burca received their Bachelor of Science in Physics and Astronomy from the University of Galway in 2006. Prior to this, they attended Colaiste Iognaid from 1996 to 2002.
