Sheela Patel is an accomplished academic and healthcare professional with extensive experience in athletic training and sports medicine. Currently serving as an Associate Professor at the University of Cincinnati since August 2005, Sheela has also held roles as an Assistant Professor, Adjunct Instructor, and Athletic Trainer in the Department of Athletics. Concurrently, Sheela works as a Physician Assistant at the Orthopaedic Institute of Dayton since October 2012. Previous positions include Athletic Trainer at Miami Valley Hospital, Center Director/Athletic Trainer at Body Regeneration Center, and Athletic Trainer at Xavier University. Sheela also served as a Physician Extender Intern at the University of Cincinnati Medical Center in 2003. Academically, Sheela holds a B.S. in Health Promotion & Education from the University of Cincinnati, an M.Ed. in Sport Administration from Xavier University, and an MPAS degree from Kettering College.
