Archana Vijayakumar is a seasoned professional in research biology, currently serving as the Director of Research Biology at OrsoBio since March 2022. Previously, Archana held positions at Gilead Sciences, where responsibilities included Senior Research Scientist I and Research Scientist roles from February 2018 to March 2022. Archana also worked as an Instructor in Medicine at Harvard Medical School/Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center and completed a Post Doctoral Fellowship at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center between September 2012 and February 2018. Earlier experiences include a research internship at Dr. Mohan's Diabetes Specialities Center, focusing on identifying SNPs related to metabolic syndrome in South Asians. Archana earned a Ph.D. in Biological Sciences from the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai and a Bachelor's Degree in Biotechnology from SRM University in Chennai, India.
