Laurie Mazurik

Critical Care Transport Physician at ORNGE Inc.

Laurie Mazurik serves as the Medical Director for Emergency Medical Services at the Independent First Nation's Alliance since October 2022, focusing on developing mobile medical health teams in Northwestern Ontario. With extensive experience at Ornge as a Critical Care Transport Physician and Health Standards Development Consultant since 1991, Laurie leads projects like the CBRNE Collaborative for Health Care. Additional roles include Medical Director at Centennial College, Emergency Physician at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre, and Transport Medicine Physician for the City of Toronto's Emergency Medical Services. Academically, Laurie has contributed as a lecturer at the University of Toronto and co-chaired the 2017 World Congress for the World Association of Disaster and Emergency Medicine. Educational qualifications include a Master's in Disaster Medicine from the University Piemonte and an MBA from the Rotman School of Management, along with an FRCPC in Medicine from the University of Toronto.
