Stephen Ashley is an accomplished data consultant with extensive experience in the oil and gas industry, currently serving at Orion Group since July 2022. Prior roles include Head of Offshore Energy 4.0 at the Net Zero Technology Centre (July 2017 - June 2022), where Stephen focused on leveraging technology to propel the transition to net-zero energy. Prior to that, Stephen held the position of Information Solutions Director at Maersk Oil Qatar (January 2012 - July 2017), responsible for enhancing technological infrastructure and services. A significant tenure at Schlumberger spanned from July 2006 to December 2011, during which Stephen managed multidisciplinary teams and developed information management solutions across the Middle East and Asia. Earlier career milestones included principal consulting roles at Venture Information Management and geophysical data processing management at WesternGeco. Stephen holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Computing for Commerce and Industry from The Open University and a BSc in Geology from Swansea University.
