Gerry Strydom is a Technical Agronomist at Orion Future Technology Ltd since September 2024, with previous experience as Soft Fruit Breeding Farm Manager at Edward Vinson Ltd from November 2022 to September 2024, overseeing plant production and farm team management. Prior to that, Strydom served as Nursery Manager & Head Grower at Greenlines Nursery for over eleven years, managing daily operations, environmental standards, and irrigation systems. Strydom’s career includes roles as Assistant Plant Area Manager at Dobbies Garden Centres Ltd and as a Professional Cricketer with the Cape Cobras, alongside experience as Director of Cricket for Stellenbosch Schools. Educational qualifications include a National Diploma in Horticulture from the University of South Africa, various certificates focusing on crop protection and nutrient management, and leadership training from the Institute of Leadership and Management.
