Augustine Kizito has been working in the engineering field since 2012. Augustine began their career as an intern at Kiira Motors Corporation, where they worked on the development of Uganda's second concept car, a hybrid (petrol-electric) vehicle. Theirtasks included designing a powertrain sizing application in LABView and benchmarking electrical vehicle design and ecosystems. In 2016, Augustine began an internship at Toyota Boshoku, where they used 3D scanning technology to create a digital factory of the Seat Assembly Area at Toyota Boshoku's Tshuchihashi Plant. Augustine also learned and practiced Japanese work methodologies such as kaizen and genshi-genbutsu. From 2018 to 2021, Augustine worked as a Graduate Electrical Engineer at Uganda Electricity Transmission Company Ltd (UETCL). Currently, they are the CEO of Orijtech Uganda.
Augustine Kizito attended the University of Leeds from 2013 to 2017, where they obtained a Master of Engineering (MEng) in Electronic and Electrical Engineering.
