Amanda Ekkers is a dedicated doctoral student in School Psychology at Fordham Graduate School of Education, with an expected graduation date of May 2026. Currently serving as a Doctoral Extern and Client Coordinator Graduate Assistant at Hagin School Consultation Center, Amanda also holds the position of President of the Student Affiliates in School Psychology (SASP). In addition, Amanda is engaged in a research apprenticeship focused on the impact of anxiety on cognitive and affective empathy skills in children with neurodevelopmental disorders, under the mentorship of Courteney Johnson, Ph.D. Experience includes roles as an Executive Functioning Tutor at Organizational Tutors, LLC, an Extern and Special Education Teaching Assistant at Academics West, and previous assistantships and internships at Fairfield University and Fairfield College Preparatory School. Amanda earned a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Fairfield University in 2021.
