Ashton Simpson is a committed public servant and community advocate currently serving as a Metro Councilor since January 2023. An East County resident with a background in nonprofit leadership, Simpson has experience as the Executive Director of Oregon Walks and as a Community Asset Planner at The Rosewood Initiative, where Ashton led the development of the Rosewood Conceptual Neighborhood Master Plan. Prior experience includes working as a Project Engineer at Colas Construction Inc. and serving in the United States Air Force as a Civil Engineering Technician. Ashton Simpson holds a degree in Community Development with a focus on City and Regional Planning from Portland State University.
