Manuel Alejandro Rios is a Graduate Research Assistant at Oregon State University since September 2024, with an extensive background in engineering and irrigation design. Previously, Manuel served as Head of Engineering and Irrigation Designer at Netafim from June 2021 to September 2024, and as an Irrigation Engineer at Etagro, where efforts focused on designing irrigation and pumping systems across Colombia. Manuel also contributed as an Agricultural Engineer at REGAR Research Group, working on groundwater resource assessments and environmental management plans. Manuel's educational qualifications include a Master's degree in Biological and Ecological Engineering from Oregon State University, a Master's degree in Water Resource Management from Lincoln University, and a BS in Agricultural Engineering from Universidad del Valle.
