Zoe Kohler-Boland is a dedicated research assistant at the Oregon Research Institute since June 2021, with prior experience as a tutor to student athletes at the University of Oregon and as a Fulbright Fellow, where research focused on metal toxicity in fish species. An undergraduate honors thesis at Smith College investigated the effects of estrogen on social behavior in goldfish, utilizing behavioral assays and immunohistochemistry. Zoe has also served as a mentor and tutor in various educational settings, emphasizing nurturing skills in mentoring, writing, and communication. Holding a Bachelor of Arts in Neuroscience and Spanish from Smith College, Zoe is committed to combining academic rigor with community engagement.
