Hemanth Kapa is currently a Student Intern at Oregon Health & Science University and an Emergent Ventures Grantee at the Mercatus Center at George Mason University, where Hemanth works to support innovative societal improvements. Prior experience includes serving as a BLVD Scholar at Boulevard and a Summer Intern at Scripps Research, along with participation in the 2024 Villars Institute Symposium focused on systems change. Hemanth was previously an Apprentice at Mamelani, designing educational sessions for vulnerable youth, and an Organizer for CodeDay, a non-profit coding event for high schoolers. Hemanth's engagement with Civics Unplugged as a Spring '22 Fellow involved empowering Gen Z leaders. Hemanth was a Student Ambassador and Young Member of The New York Academy of Sciences and a finalist at the IRIS National Fair for collaborative research work. Currently pursuing a double major in Computer Science and Neuroscience at Dickinson College, Hemanth has also participated in various educational programs including the Take Action Lab in Human Rights Advocacy and the Wolfram Summer School.
