Geneviève Lalonde is the Director, Marketing and Communications at Orchestre Métropolitain. Geneviève has over two years of experience in Communications and Visitor Experience.
Previously, they worked at the Musée McCord Stewart Museum as a Conseillère, Communications et Expérience visiteur. In this role, they were responsible for developing and implementing communication strategies and plans, providing communication advice to management and coordinators, overseeing all communication activities with the help of an agent, designing and updating communication tools such as press releases, advertisements, and promotions, organizing their distribution, developing a social media strategy in collaboration with the communications agent, coordinating and supervising the work of the communications agent, collaborating with ticketing and retail staff to ensure synergy between communications and visitor services, participating in promotional activities and events, representing the museum to external partners and stakeholders, and managing the financial resources of the Communications Department.
Geneviève also worked in the Visitor Experience Department where they were responsible for evaluating, measuring, and analyzing the visitor experience in all its aspects (pre-visit, during visit, post-visit), developing and coordinating a continuous improvement plan with a multidisciplinary committee, acting as an expert consultant and facilitator in the development of a "visitor experience" reflex at all levels of the organization.
Geneviève Lalonde attended HEC Montréal, where they received a microprogramme in gestion des arts, des spectacles et des médias. Geneviève then attended Université de Sherbrooke, where they received a diplôme de 2e cycle en communication appliquée (DESS) in communication stratégique. Finally, they attended Université du Québec à Montréal, where they received a baccalauréat in communication et relations publiques.
Geneviève Lalonde reports to Jean R. Dupré, President & CEO. They are on a team with Jean Paquin - Director, Staff, Martin Hudon - Director, Marketing & Communication, and Dany Leblanc - Technical Director.
