Jak Benardete has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Jak is currently serving as the Chief Executive Officer of Orchard Mile since December 2021. Prior to this, they co-founded Orchard Mile in 2016 and held the role of Co-Founder & Product Manager. During their time at Orchard Mile, they were responsible for building the tech team and the company's website. Before Orchard Mile, Jak was the CEO of Shopbeam from 2013 to 2015, where they developed a distributed commerce platform connecting brands with digital publishers. From 2011 to 2012, they served as the CEO of Shop My Label, a social commerce marketplace. Jak's earlier work experience includes founding Lay Textile in 1994, which grew to become one of the largest garment manufacturers in the region before being sold in 2009.

Jak Benardete attended TASIS from 1978-1984, although the specific degree and field of study completed during this period are unknown. Following this, Benardete went on to study at Boğaziçi University from 1984-1988, earning a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Economics.
