Gunter Van Baelen has extensive experience in the chemical distribution and trading industry, serving as Managing Director for OQEMA Group, Oqema BV, NV, and Roam Chemie since May 2012. Gunter has also held the position of Managing Director at Oqema NV (formerly Ceepal NV) since December 2016, and at Roam Chemie since August 2019. Prior to these roles, Gunter worked at INEOS as Key Account Manager from August 2011 to April 2012 and contributed to Tessenderlo Group from January 1999 to July 2011 in various sales management capacities. Beginning a career in sales as a Sales Engineer at EMBA Techniek from 1994 to 1998, Gunter holds an Engineer’s degree in Industrial Engineering from KU Leuven Faculty of Engineering Technology and has completed a Leadership program at Vlerick Business School.
