Paul Borean is a finance professional with extensive experience in fixed income and multi-asset investment management. Currently serving as Principal at OPTrust since August 2021, Borean previously held the position of Senior Fixed Income Analyst at CI Investments Inc., where management responsibilities included overseeing fixed income return drivers for portfolios totaling over CAD $12 billion. Prior to that, Borean was Vice President of Fixed Income & Currency Strategy at RBC Capital Markets, contributing to a top-ranked fixed income strategy franchise recognized for research quality and accolades from institutional investors. Academic qualifications include a Master's degree in Mathematical Finance from the University of Toronto and a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics and Business Administration from the University of Waterloo, alongside being a CFA Charter Holder.
