Karina Schmidt is a seasoned optical technician with extensive experience in optical engineering and management. Currently serving as a Verfahrenstechnikerin in R&D Feinoptik at OptoTech since February 2023, Karina previously held the role of Feinoptikermeisterin im Bereich Optik Automation at OCULUS Optikgeräte GmbH, focused on the maintenance of automatic cleaning and coating systems. Prior to that, Karina was a Feinoptikermeisterin and Produktionsleiterin at Joachim Bernard Optische Komponenten GmbH, and contributed as a Feinoptikermeisterin and Abteilungsleiterin QS at Fineoptix. Karina's early career included positions as a Feinoptikerin at Kuznik Optikal GmbH and Leica Camera AG, where responsibilities included grinding and polishing spherical surfaces on conventional and CNC machines. Karina holds a degree in Feinoptikerin from Leica Camera AG and a Meisterin degree from Werner-von-Siemens-Schule Wetzlar.
