Andrew Rankin has a diverse work experience in hardware engineering roles. Andrew started their career at Linn Products Ltd in 2002, where they worked as an Electronic Design Engineer, focusing on analogue hardware design for hi-end audio products. In 2009, they joined Simple Audio Ltd as a Hardware Design Manager, leading the development of networked audio products for the home. At Simple Audio, they were involved in all aspects of the product cycle, from concept to production. In 2015, Andrew moved to Bose Corporation as a Hardware Design Manager, initially working in the Advanced Development group and later transitioning to the Emerging Business Group. Andrew worked on creating electronics for concept products and was involved in designing a wearable product to improve user well-being. Andrew then joined Trig Avionics Limited in 2018 as a Lead Engineer, where they worked until 2020. Currently, they hold the position of Principal Hardware Engineer at Optos.

Andrew Rankin attended the University of Glasgow from 1998 to 2002, where they pursued a Bachelor of Engineering degree with Honors in Electronics and Electrical Engineering.
