Alan Williams has extensive work experience in the field of electronic hardware engineering. Alan started their career at SELEX in 2002 as an Electronic Hardware Engineer and worked there until 2007. Alan then joined Nial Stewart Developments Ltd as an Electronic Hardware Engineer from 2007 to 2008. After that, they worked as an Electronic Hardware Contractor at Optos PLC in 2008. From 2008 to 2010, they served as an Electronic Hardware Engineer at Nallatech. Alan then returned to Optos PLC and worked as a Senior Hardware Engineer from 2010 to 2012. In 2012, they took a career break and spent some time as a Spanish student. Alan later joined TES Electronic Solutions as a Senior Hardware Engineer from 2012 to 2014. Currently, they are working at Optos as an Engineering Manager - Electronics since 2017.

Alan Williams attended Durham University from 1998 to 2002, where they obtained a degree in MENg with a specialization in Electronic Engineering. In 2019, they also obtained a certification as a Certified SAFe® 4 Product Owner/Product Manager from Scaled Agile, Inc.
