Steven Powers is an experienced engineering professional with a focus on optical engineering and manufacturing. Currently employed at Optimax Systems, Inc. since August 2012, Steven has held roles as a Thin Film Coating Engineer, Manufacturing Engineer, and R&D Technician. Prior to this, Steven gained experience as a Sailing Instructor at the Rochester Canoe Club from June 2005 to July 2013, teaching sailing skills to various age groups. Additionally, Steven completed a Mechanical Engineering internship at R. Brooks Associates, Inc. from October 2009 to June 2010. Education includes a Bachelor of Science in Optical Engineering from the University of Rochester and studies in Engineering Science at Monroe Community College.
