Phillip Acott is an experienced professional in the field of research and technology, currently serving as the Associate Director of Research at Collins Aerospace since June 2022. Prior to this role, Phillip held multiple positions at Ophir Corporation, including Technology Lead and R&D Physicist, where leadership of a diverse team led to the development of an optical air data system prototype and successful negotiations on contract development with various customers. Phillip's background includes a strong emphasis on remote-sensing instrumentation and laser-based airborne sensors, backed by a Ph.D. in Physics from Colorado State University.
