Huan Wang, PhD, currently serves as a Clinical Application Specialist at OpGen, Inc. since March 2022, offering application support for the detection of clinically significant pathogens and antibiotic resistance markers while possessing expertise in healthcare-associated infections. Prior to this role, Huan Wang worked as a Postdoctoral Research Associate at Evotec from June 2020 to February 2022, focusing on antibiotic drug discovery and development. From April 2019 to June 2020, Huan Wang conducted research at the University of Tübingen, investigating the mode of action of novel non-peptide-based antibiotics and supervising PhD students. Early career experience includes roles as a Senior Technical Service Microbiologist and Senior Clinical Microbiologist at 3M, engaging in food pathogen detection, antimicrobial product development, and compliance with industry standards. Huan Wang earned a PhD in Microbial and Eukaryotic Genetics from the University of Tübingen and holds a Master's degree in Biomedical Science from the University of Glasgow.
