Sean (Jake) Jacobsen is a seasoned music educator and performer with significant experience in vocal instruction and opera. Currently serving as a Voice, Piano, and Guitar Teacher at 26-Music since December 2015, Sean is also a vocalist at St. Theresa Catholic Church and a Special Education Teacher at Akins High School. In the realm of opera, Sean has performed as an Opera Singer with Austin Opera and OPERA San Antonio since 2009 and 2017, respectively. Previous roles include Teaching Assistant at Austin High School and various substitute teaching positions within the Austin Independent School District, demonstrating a strong commitment to education. Sean holds a Doctor of Musical Arts in Vocal Performance and a Master of Music in Opera Performance from The University of Texas at Austin, as well as a BA in Vocal Performance from Boston University.
