Boris Mindzak has a diverse work experience spanning various industries. Boris began their career as a Technology Summer Analyst at Goldman Sachs in 2007 and 2008. Following that, they worked as a President at Free Culture @ Columbia, where they co-founded the Columbia University chapter of Students for Free Culture and organized events such as the Wikis Take Manhattan photo scavenger hunt.
In 2009, Boris returned to Goldman Sachs as a Technology Analyst. In this role, they managed the design, implementation, testing, and launch of a strategic downstream trade processing system, significantly increasing system efficiency and throughput. Boris also collaborated with operations division clients to implement data integrity systems and resolve live system issues.
Boris then moved on to work as a Senior Software Engineer at Chrome River Technologies from 2011 to 2014. Following this, they interned as a Legal Intern at the Electronic Frontier Foundation in 2015.
In 2016, Boris worked as a Summer Associate at O'Melveny & Myers LLP, and the following year, they became an Associate at the same company. During their time at O'Melveny & Myers LLP, they gained experience in legal counsel.
Most recently, Boris joined Opentrons Labworks Inc. as an Internal Counsel in November 2020. Throughout their professional journey, they have demonstrated expertise in various fields and has held positions in technology, software engineering, law, and research.
Boris Mindzak pursued their education at a renowned institution, the University of California, Los Angeles - School of Law, from 2014 to 2017. During this period, they obtained a Doctor of Law (J.D.) degree. Prior to this, Boris attended Columbia Engineering from 2005 to 2009, where they earned a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree. Their major field of study at Columbia was a combination of Computer Science and Economics.
