Jennifer Gessner is an experienced professional in the fields of editorial work and education. Currently serving as a Development Editor at OpenStax, Rice University, since November 2018, Jennifer has played a key role in the creation of the College Success course, which has been adopted by over 300 institutions and benefited more than 50,000 students. In addition, Jennifer has been an Adjunct Professor of Writing and Composition at Westchester Community College since August 2018, focusing on advanced writing skills. Jennifer's experience includes roles as an Instructor at EF Education First, Editorial Director at New Knowledge United, and Project Manager/Development Editor at Pearson Education. Additionally, Jennifer taught creative writing courses at The Community College of Denver, contributed as Managing Editor for Inspire Magazine, held the position of Associate Director at Colorado Children's Campaign, and wrote for Limburg International Magazine. Jennifer holds an M.A. in English Education from the University of Florida and a B.A. in English from Colorado College.
