James Hems BEM is an accomplished HR and project management professional with extensive experience across various sectors. Currently serving as Head of HR, People and Culture at Bluewave Technology, James specializes in enhancing employee experience through a holistic approach to HR practices. In addition to this role, James is actively involved as a Co Organizer at Disrupt Cambridge, contributing to discussions on talent and technology, and is a member of both People Stories and Open Org, focusing on community engagement and workplace transparency. Prior to these positions, James held significant roles at AVEVA, Arcus Global, Cambridge City Council, and Cambridge Assessment, where responsibilities spanned global recognition and benefits management, transformational technology projects, and portfolio management in the education sector. James holds a BSc (Hons) in Biological Sciences with Business & Management from The University of Manchester and completed A-Levels in Biology, Chemistry, and Maths at Oundle School.
