Nat Sakimura is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in digital identity and privacy management. As Chairman of the OpenID Foundation since October 2009, Nat has played a pivotal role in shaping international standards in this domain. Other significant positions include serving as Outside Director at Authlete, Digital Special Advisor at the Japan Fair Trade Commission, and CEO of NAT Consulting LLC. Nat also chairs the Japanese Mirror Committees for ISO/PC 317 and ISO/IEC SC27/WG5, contributing to the development of privacy standards in consumer goods and services. Previously, Nat held the role of Research Fellow at Nomura Research Institute, focusing on digital identity and privacy enhancement. Educational achievements include a Master's degree in Economics from Western University and a Bachelor's degree in Economics from Hitotsubashi University.
