She Zhang started their work experience as a Research Intern at Simcere Pharmaceutical Group in 2014, where they conducted wet lab experiments and developed software for antibody sequence analysis. From 2015 to 2020, they worked as a Graduate Student Researcher at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine, focusing on thesis and other projects related to protein dynamics analysis. She then joined OpenEye Scientific in 2020, first as a Postdoctoral Research Associate and later as a Scientific Developer. In their current role, they estimate the permeability of drug-like molecules, develops biomodeling tools, and performs protein superposition.

She Zhang has a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences from Nanjing University of Traditional Chinese Medicine, which was earned from 2010 to 2014. From 2015 to 2020, they pursued a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Computational Biology at both the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine and Carnegie Mellon University School of Computer Science.
