Dr. McKnight is a specialist in product design and logistics. He is one of the founders of Altitude Medical and is a member of the Board of Directors.

Jake spent time as a product design specialist at engineering firms Perkins and Caterpillar as a supply chain consultant, working with manufacturers to manage the proper supply of a wide variety of mechanical parts.

Dr. McKnight is responsible for overseeing Altitude Medical’s UK launch and operations. Jake and the other founders came up with an idea on how to improve the frequency of hand sanitization among doctors, nurses, and staff in hospitals. Their innovative thinking on making the process of hand sanitization intuitive resulted in the development of a door handle with a hand-sanitizing component. The result has led to a line of patented door handles which are part of Altitude Medical’s product line now marketed and sold world-wide.

Jake graduated from Strathclyde University with a Bachelor of Engineering and a Doctorate in Philosophy from Oxford University where he focused on hospital management.
