Nikolas Tezak is a seasoned professional in the quantum computing field, currently serving as a Member of Technical Staff and OpenAI Fellow at OpenAI since March 2019. Prior experience includes a role as Senior Quantum Engineer and Tech Lead for Computational Modeling at Rigetti Computing from October 2016 to February 2019, where significant contributions were made to hardware modeling and simulation, as well as Quantum Cloud Services backend development. Tezak began a research career at Stanford University, working as a Postdoctoral Researcher from June 2011 to October 2016, and previously as a Graduate Research Fellow/PhD student, focusing on quantum photonic circuits for information processing. Educational qualifications include a PhD in Applied Physics from Stanford University, a background in Physics at Imperial College London, and a Diplom in Physics from Heidelberg University.
