Mengyuan Yan currently serves as a Member of Technical Staff at OpenAI, starting in April 2023. Prior to this role, Mengyuan gained extensive experience at Everyday Robots as a Senior Software Engineer and Software Engineer from November 2021 to April 2023. Mengyuan also worked at X, the moonshot factory as a Software Engineer from June 2020 to November 2021, following earlier positions at the same organization as an Intern from June 2018 to September 2018. Previous experience includes a Deep Learning Research Internship at NVIDIA from June 2017 to December 2017 and a Software Engineer Internship in Deep Learning at Magic Leap from June 2016 to September 2016. Mengyuan Yan holds a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Stanford University (2014-2020) and a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Physics from Peking University (2010-2014).
