Fred von Lohmann is currently working at OpenAI as Associate General Counsel, focusing on copyright issues. Prior to their current role, Fred held positions at Google, Western Center on Law and Poverty, Electronic Frontier Foundation, and various law firms, specializing in copyright law and intellectual property. Fred has also served as a lecturer at Stanford Law School and conducted research on the impact of peer-to-peer technologies on copyright at UC Berkeley. Fred holds a JD from Stanford Law School and an AB in Political Science from Stanford University.
