Ali Kamali is a skilled software engineer with extensive experience in backend development, performance optimization, and database scalability. Currently serving as a Member of Technical Staff at OpenAI since January 2023, Ali is part of the Scaling team. Prior roles include Software Developer at Visier Inc. from May 2014 to January 2023, where significant contributions were made to the design and implementation of ETL pipelines and database optimization, achieving up to 100x performance improvements on OLAP queries.
