Samuel Curtis

Samuel Curtis is an accomplished professional currently serving as a Policy Researcher at the Open Molecular Software Foundation, a Biosecurity Fellow at Rosetta Commons, and a Visiting Scholar at the Johns Hopkins Whiting School of Engineering. In addition, Samuel is a Fellow at the National Security Commission on Emerging Biotechnology and a member of the United Nations' Network of Experts for the High-Level Advisory Body on Artificial Intelligence. Previously, Samuel held various roles at The Future Society, where significant contributions included developing policy recommendations for the European Parliament on AI, managing key projects related to AI's impact on pandemic response, and publishing research on trust in AI technology. Samuel also has experience as a Learning Community Fellow at the Montreal AI Ethics Institute and as a facilitator for the International Telecommunication Union’s youth group. Educational credentials include a Master's degree in Global Affairs from Schwarzman Scholars, a Bachelor of Arts in Biochemistry from Whitman College, and additional studies at Middlebury Language Schools and Yonsei University.
