Bill Carter is a seasoned technology leader with extensive experience in the data center and cloud services sectors. Currently serving as a Fellow at the Open Compute Project Foundation, Bill provides leadership guidance and growth strategies following a successful tenure as Chief Technology Officer and interim CEO. Throughout a distinguished career at Intel Corporation, Bill held various senior roles, including Senior Data Center Architect, where consultation on efficiency and technology for major data center operations was key. Bill's expertise extends to joint ventures, product development, and engineering management, contributing to significant advancements in hardware and software. Bill's earlier experience includes a manufacturing engineering role at Tektronix and an educational background in Industrial Engineering from Oregon State University.
