Asha Abdirahman is an experienced Direct Support Professional, currently serving at Opal Services, Inc., Owakihi Inc., and Howry Residential Services since 2015 and 2013 respectively, providing essential support to individuals with disabilities and promoting inclusive community living. Additionally, Asha contributes to the Multicultural Center for Academic Excellence at the University of Minnesota, fostering an environment that supports equity, diversity, and social justice. Previous experience includes a role as a Student Worker at the Center for Teaching and Learning at Hamline University and an internship with the American Refugee Committee, where Asha engaged in humanitarian efforts. Asha holds a degree from the University of Minnesota, earned between 2013 and 2017.
