Davy van de Vusse has a wealth of experience in the software engineering industry. From 2005 to 2012, they were a Martial Arts Instructor at Hsou Jing Do. From 2007 to 2012, they worked as a Software Engineer at Endev. During this time, they worked on various web-based projects, including AllTeams. From 2012 to 2018, they were Self-Employed as a Freelance Software Engineer, gathering requirements and building track and trace systems for Advance Freight Ltd. From 2018 to 2022, they worked at Xero, where they held the roles of Engineering Manager, Development Team Lead, Developer + People Lead, and Developer. Currently, they are the Head of Product and Engineering at Ooooby, a social business focussed on enabling communities to build and develop their own local food systems. During their time at Ooooby, they have made key decisions regarding the direction of the company and has increased customer numbers 10-15 times, launched in two more countries, and maintained a very low-cost, efficient operation that is viable despite low margins.
Davy van de Vusse attended Macleans College from 1998 to 2002. Davy then attended The University of Auckland from 2003 to 2006, where they obtained a BE (Hons I) in Computer Systems Engineering.
