Megan Fowler is a seasoned policy analyst specializing in rights and governance, currently serving as a Senior Policy Analyst at the Assembly of First Nations since May 2024. Previous roles include Policy Analyst positions focusing on poverty reduction and international engagement at the Ontario Native Women's Association, and on ending violence against Indigenous women, girls, and 2SLGBTQQIA+ people at the Ontario Federation of Indigenous Friendship Centres. With extensive experience in the justice sector and human rights, Megan has worked in various capacities, including managing the Indigenous Reporters Program and providing legal advice on human rights issues at the Human Rights Legal Support Centre. Educational qualifications include a Master’s degree in Public Policy, Administration and Law from York University and an Honours Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of Toronto.
