John Tripp, MBA, possesses extensive experience in business consulting and strategy, particularly within the clean energy and climate technology sectors. Currently serving as a consultant at OnePointFive since December 2022, John previously held roles including Business Strategy Consultant at Moon Five Technologies Inc., where assistance was given in developing a launch strategy for an electric vehicle charging startup. As a Climatebase Fellow in 2022, John engaged with the climate industry through networking and education. Additional experience includes a senior consultant position at 2050 Partners, Inc., providing strategy and analysis on energy efficiency, and running a successful consulting practice from 2009 to 2019, advising startups on market strategies. Earlier roles included Director of Operations at DCA CableVision and Associate Engineer/Program Manager at CALSTART, where John managed clean transportation technology projects. Educational qualifications include an MBA focused on entrepreneurship from USC Marshall School of Business and a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering with Environmental Studies from UC Santa Barbara.
