Bill is a passionate environmentalist and board member of One Tree Planted. He has been a history professor at John Abbott College for the last thirty years and is currently the chair of the History, Economics and Political Science Department. While he acknowledges the challenges faced in combating climate change, Bill remains hopeful for the future of the planet. Having planted over 100,000 trees as a student, Bill understands firsthand the importance of reforestation in combatting climate change and protecting the planet for future generations. He holds a B.A and M.A. in History from Concordia University and has dedicated his career to educating students about the impact of human activity on the environment. As an active member of One Tree Planted since its inception in 2014, Bill has watched in awe as the organization has grown into one of the biggest and best tree planting organizations in the world. He is proud to be a part of a team that is making a real difference in the fight against climate change and believes that by working together, the team can create a more sustainable future for all.
