Elizabeth Richards has a diverse range of work experience. Elizabeth started their career at EY in 1999, where they worked as a Senior Manager for almost 20 years before leaving in 2018. Elizabeth then went on to work as a Project Manager at Waikato Tainui from 2018 to 2019. Following that, they served as a Director at the New Zealand Rugby League from 2017 to 2020. In 2019, they joined the Ministry of Housing and Urban Development as a Kaiaki until 2021. Elizabeth also held the position of Chair at Ngā Kaitatau Māori o Aotearoa from 2017. Elizabeth then worked at Vodafone New Zealand as the Head of Māori Strategy from 2021 to 2023. Currently, they hold the position of Head of Māori Strategy at One New Zealand starting from 2023.
Elizabeth Richards attended Harvard Business School in 2023, where they studied Business, Management, Marketing, and Related Support Services. Before that, from 1982 to 1987, they attended Okaihau College. Additionally, they obtained a National Diploma in Accounting from Auckland University of Technology, although the specific start and end years are not provided.
