Shayla Burton has extensive experience in healthcare and community service, currently serving as a High Risk Senior Health Coach at One Medical since March 2016, following roles as a Laboratory Specialist and Administrative Assistant within the same organization. Additionally, Shayla has contributed to Susan G. Komen as an Intern/Volunteer since May 2013, focusing on breast cancer awareness and event execution. Prior experience includes roles as an HR Assistant at Hearts & Homes for Youth, a Server at Applebee's, and Club Staff at LA Fitness. Shayla also served as a Historian for the National Council of Negro Women, where efforts concentrated on women's progression and health awareness initiatives. Educationally, Shayla is pursuing a Master's degree in Organizational Communication from Bowie State University, having previously earned a Bachelor's degree in Communication and Media Studies from the same institution.
