Guido Kurz has extensive experience in the pharmaceutical industry. Guido started their career at Pharmacia Corp. in 1998 as a Chemistry Project Leader. Guido then joined Biovitrum as a Deputy Project Leader and later became the Director of Chemistry at Betagenon. Guido went on to work at CNIO as the Section Head of Medicinal Chemistry and at Oryzon as the Director of Drug Discovery. Currently, they serve as the CEO of Oncostellae, where they lead the development of novel drug candidates for oncology and immunology.
Guido Kurz began their education journey in 1985 at the Technical University of Munich, where they pursued both their PhD and diploma in Organic Chemistry. Guido dedicated ten years of their academic career to this institution, completing their studies in 1995. Following this, Guido undertook PhD studies in Organic Chemistry at Caltech from 1992 to 1994. Guido then moved on to the University of Strasbourg, where they served as a Postdoctoral Fellow specializing in Supramolecular Chemistry and DNA-targeting from 1995 to 1997.
