Armand Cognetta is the Founder and CEO of General Proximity since December 2019 and serves as a Scientific Advisor at Menten AI from 2020. Additionally, Armand is a Mentor in Longevity Biotech at On Deck, a role held since September 2021. In 2020, Armand was the solo-founder of W20 at Y Combinator. Previously, from 2018 to 2019, Armand was a Scientist at Inzen Therapeutics, where responsibilities included building and leading a proteomics drug discovery platform. Earlier experience includes working as a Research Technician at Scripps Research in Cravatt Lab from December 2011 to May 2013 and interning at Alnylam Pharmaceuticals in 2010, where Armand contributed to the development of a key RT-PCR assay. Armand holds a PhD in Chemical Biology from Scripps Research and a BS in Biochemistry from the University of Virginia.
