As a director on the Finance team, Scott oversees all program finance and investment operations for the organization’s hybrid capital model across a global platform.
Prior to joining Omidyar Network, Scott spent over 15 years working with mission-driven organizations in various accounting and finance roles. Most recently, Scott served as director of finance for the Contemporary Jewish Museum in San Francisco. In this role, he oversaw all aspects of the museum’s accounting and FP&A functions, as well as its endowment and bond debt refinance. Previously, Scott served as a controller, CFO, and director within various philanthropies of Eric and Wendy Schmidt, where he co-founded a venture philanthropy organization that provides seed capital to environmental entrepreneurs. Scott has also consulted for the William and Flora Hewlett Foundation and has worked in public accounting at PwC, serving the firm’s nonprofit, endowment, and investment fund clients.
Scott holds a B.A. in economics from the University of California, Santa Cruz. He has also completed Harvard Kennedy School’s executive education program, “Strategic Frameworks for Nonprofit Organizations.”
