Lauren Alexander currently serves as a Strategic Communications professional at Omidyar Network, a role commenced in May 2023. Previously, Lauren held key communications positions at Twitter from January 2020 to May 2023, focusing on maintaining a safe and trusted platform for users. Additional experience includes serving as Policy Communications Manager at Lyft, where strategic messaging supported government relations, and as a Policy Consultant at FWD.us, where policy opportunities were explored to support families affected by the criminal justice system. Prior roles involved significant communications responsibilities at the ACLU of San Diego, New York Civil Liberties Union, and the Haas Institute, among others. Lauren holds a Master's Degree in Public Policy Analysis from the University of California, Berkeley, and a Bachelor's degree in Journalism and International Studies from Northwestern University.
