Machine Learning Engineer - Project Lead at Omdena

Imran Yasin has a diverse range of work experience in the fields of automation, machine learning, artificial intelligence, data science, and quality assurance. Imran is currently working as an Automation Scientist at The Janssen Pharmaceutical Companies of Johnson & Johnson, where they develop applications for robotics, data mining, automation, and machine learning. Previously, they worked at Omdena as a Machine Learning Engineer - Project Lead, where they performed data pre-processing, exploratory data analysis, feature engineering, and model development. Imran also deployed models on Microsoft Azure and AWS. Prior to that, Imran worked as an Artificial Intelligence Engineer at PIAIC, where they developed expertise in numpy, pandas, scipy, matplotlib, seaborn, and SQL. Imran also worked as a Data Scientist at Hifinite, a Quality Assurance Supervisor at BASF, and an Engineering Process Operations & Control Hands-On (EPOCH) Project member at Shell. Imran has also gained research experience as a Research Scientist at Bayer HealthCare and as an Algal Genetics Intern at ExxonMobil. Imran's early work experience includes roles as a Process Development Associate at British Petroleum(BP) Biofuels and as a Design Projects- Chemical Engineering participant at the University of California, San Diego. Throughout their work history, Imran has demonstrated their ability to analyze and manipulate data, develop and deploy machine learning models, and contribute to the overall efficiency and quality of the processes they have been involved in.

Imran Yasin's education history includes completing a Master's Degree in Chemical Engineering at Cornell University from 2016 to 2017. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Chemical Engineering from UC San Diego between 2012 and 2014. Before attending UC San Diego, Imran obtained an Associate's degree in Chemistry from Southwestern Community College District from 2010 to 2012.

In terms of additional certifications, Imran has various certifications related to machine learning and artificial intelligence. These include certifications such as "Machine Learning Pipelines with Azure ML Studio" from Coursera, "Launching into Machine Learning" and "TensorFlow on Google Cloud" from Google Cloud Education, "MLOps Proficiency Certificate" from Abacus.AI, "Introduction to TensorFlow for Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, and Deep Learning" and "Natural Language Processing in TensorFlow" from Coursera, and a "Machine Learning Engineer Nanodegree" from Udacity. Additionally, Imran has completed the "Aspen Plus Fundamentals and Aspen Plus version 8.4 Migration Course" offered by BP. Imran will also be obtaining the "Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Scientist Associate" certification from Microsoft in February 2023.
