Cooper Scher is a Junior Quantitative Trader at Old Mission since August 2023. Previously, Cooper worked as a Bioinformatics Intern at AMPEL BioSolutions, analyzing genetic datasets related to Atopic Dermatitis. As a Student Researcher at the University of Virginia under Professor William Levy, Cooper implemented an unsupervised adaptive synaptogenesis neural network model. Earlier research experiences include a Research Intern position at Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory, focusing on microRNA repression, and at Brookhaven National Laboratory, where Cooper designed optimization algorithms for RF cavity analysis in a synchrotron. Cooper earned a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science and a Bachelor's degree in Biomedical/Medical Engineering from the University of Virginia.
