Santiago Torres Leon is an experienced professional in the agricultural commodities trading sector, currently serving as Oilseed Complex Senior Proprietary Trader at Olam since October 2021. Prior to this role, Santiago was Global Head of Oilseeds at Engelhart Commodities Trading Partners from September 2018 to October 2021 and co-founded Pathway Agriculture, managing funds in Agriculture Futures/Options from April 2017 to August 2019. Santiago also held significant positions at COFCO International as Global Desk Head of Soybeans and Meal from April 2014 to March 2017, and spent 17 years at Cargill, where various roles included Global Desk Head Fuel Oil, Senior World Trader Soybean Meal, and Risk Manager Director. Santiago holds a Master’s degree in Agribusiness from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and a Bachelor’s degree in Agronomy from the University of Buenos Aires.
